Head Teacher’s Blog – Staffing updates

Interviews were held on 13.11.15 for two key posts within the school.

Our Education Support Manager post will now be filled on a permanent basis by Mrs Taylor who has been in this post on an acting basis for over three years following the secondment of the previous post holder, Mr Gray.  I am delighted that Mrs Taylor will now be a permanent member of our Senior Management Team.

Following the retiral of Mrs McMenamin last session, Mrs Fischer Keogh has been Acting Principal Teacher of Support for Learning.  I am pleased to report that Mrs Fischer Keogh was successful at interview and will now be permanent in this post.

This week I also held interviews for a Project Leader Behaviour Support post.  The successful candidate was Miss Leslie of the Geography Department.  I have created this temporary post to support some of our young people who present more challenging behaviour.  Miss Leslie will develop our existing Support Base and will work closely with staff, pupils and parents on behaviour management strategies.

On Monday 23.11.15 Mr Huggins will join our Physics Department.  I am delighted to welcome Mr Huggins to our school.

I wish all the above staff well in their new posts.
