Recently parents of all our girls received a letter regarding dress code.
As a school we like to foster in our pupils a feeling of pride about the school and one way of doing this is through pupils wearing appropriate dress code. Over recent months an increasing number of girls have been challenging the dress code more and more – wearing footwear which is not all black, wearing denim jackets etc but one aspect of their dress code is giving me the greatest concern. Quite a number of our girls are choosing to wear leggings/jeggings to school and I do not feel these are appropriate for school. My letter to our girls’ parents thanked those whose children wear appropriate clothing and sought the cooperation of others in the future. I would welcome parental support on this matter.
