The Iron Man Project

Over the next 4 weeks, Park Mains will be collecting crisp packets at interval and lunch to be sent off to the Iron Man Project – a charity who recycle crisp packets into survival blankets for homeless people (150 packets = 1 blanket). Crisp packets take 80 years to break down, so it is important we recycle them into something positive.

There will be four bins in the street area – one for each house group to collect their crisp packets. At the end of the 4 weeks, the house group with the most crisp packets in their bin will receive a prize.

Bottles and cans will continue to be collected by Miss McLeod at interval and lunch times to support the Glasgow charity Refuweegee.
