Having returned from the Spring break I am reflecting back on the very busy term before that. Traditionally this is always the busiest term of the school year with our junior pupils continuing to work on their Broad General Education and our senior pupils working towards their SQA assessments and examinations. At assemblies we reminded the senior pupils of the importance of taking an organised approach to their studying for examinations and I have highlighted to them that this is now the time to make some sacrifices which will benefit them in the long run. I have also mentioned to pupils the importance of a good life work balance.
To assist with revision we ran an Easter School for many subjects and I was pleased with the levels of attendance. We are committed to continuing to fund these classes as I believe they are very useful to our pupils at this time of year. Running the classes would not be possible without the commitment of our staff and I thank them for that.
