On Tuesday night we held our annual Christmas concert. It was a fantastic night with over 130 pupils performing during the evening. In my welcoming address I highlighted that in my view our concerts are really quite exceptional. The talent, commitment and enthusiasm of our pupils is quite unique and the quality of the concerts they produce is of a very high standard. During the evening we were entertained by a wide range of acts from individual performances to groups of pupils with the full range of traditional and modern items performed. The evening ended with a finale where every single performer was on stage and we were entertained with a fantastic rendition of Highland Cathedral.
Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way – performers, stage crew, S1 pupils who designed the programmes, Music and instrumental teachers, other staff who assisted behind the scenes and also Parent Council members who organised a raffle and provided refreshments at the interval.
