Head Teacher’s Blog – Beatson visit

There is a long tradition in PMHS of pupils donating to charity.  Every year our S6 pupils form a Charities Committee which is overseen by Miss Carr.  The committee meets and decides to which charities they will donate at the end of the session.  There is a long tradition of PMHS donating to the Beatson Pebble Appeal.  On Monday 26th October, two members of the Leadership Team, Alana Steel and Andrew Young (see picture) accompanied by Miss Carr and Mrs Nicholls made a visit to The Beatson for a presentation evening where information was given on how charity monies are spent.  It was a very informative evening and PMHS’s ongoing support of the Beatson was recognised by an eminent professor who showed our visitors the golden brick with PMHS’s name on it.   I am always very proud of the charity work our school does and it was especially nice for our pupils to have a sense of how the money raised is spent and to have their efforts recognised.
