Dyslexia Awareness Week

This week (4th – 8th November) we are promoting Dyslexia Scotland’s Dyslexia Awareness Week. Posters have been displayed throughout the school which promote the theme ‘Building Independence for Life’.

Staff are supporting Dyslexia Awareness by wearing Blue Ribbons and S1 are taking part in an Art competition which promotes the idea of dyslexia being a hidden disability.

The Dyslexia Scotland website has a wealth of fantastic resources and access to supports for parents and carers of young people with dyslexia.

Dyslexia Unwrapped is an online hub for young people with dyslexia. The hub has useful articles and info about living with dyslexia.  Whether you’re struggling with time management, or need support from your teacher and friends, the hub can help.

Links to both websites can be found below.
