Higher Modern studies pupils made their way down to London to visit the Westminster Parliament on the 25th of October. This was an early journey starting at 06:00 am but it did not dampened their enthusiasm. Once we reached London we completed a walking tour of the various sights, we seen the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and finally on to Downing street. Our tour of the Parliament gave our pupils a great insight into the day to day life of an MP and getting to meet our MP Gavin Newlands was a bonus. The pupils had a fantastic day and can use this new knowledge to further their understanding of our Higher course.
Thank you to Miss Carr and Mrs Macaulay for organising and attending the trip.
