In conjunction with the many other strategies employed by the school to support young people who are applying to university, I would like to offer you the opportunity to visit the school for a S5/6 Parents’ Information evening on Tuesday 28th August, 2018 at 7.00 pm in the school assembly hall.
The evening is aimed at parents of S5/6 pupils who will be applying for university this session, and for parents of S5 pupils who are considering an application next year.
S5/6 pupils applying through UCAS are very well supported by PTs Pastoral Care and are guided step by step through the process. The aim of the evening is to give you further insight into the UCAS process. It is hoped that the presentation will allow you to further support pupils with their application.
The evening will consist of input from myself, Mr Wilson (Acting DHT), Mrs L MacKay (Careers Advisor SDS) and Ms Notman from the University of Glasgow.
Could I also take this opportunity to alert you to the upcoming UCAS exhibition which will take place on Tuesday 18th September, 2018 from 9.30 am until 3 pm. Further information about the event will be provided at the information evening and will be available on the school website.
