At Park Mains we are proud of our long tradition of high standards of uniform. Because of the disruption to schooling due to the pandemic, standards have begun to deteriorate and we want to address this as a school community. Although we are allowing pupils to wear extra layers in class due to the ventilation guidelines and current temperatures, we still expect that full school uniform is worn underneath. If pupils have PE they should arrive at school dressed in full school uniform and change in PE as normal.
As of Monday, spot checks will be done both at the start of the day and during class time. Pupils not in school uniform will be spoken to by a member of the Senior Leadership Team and sanctions (such as a detention) will apply.
The school uniform is:
White shirt and tie
Black plain cardigan or jumper
Black skirt or trousers – no sports leggings
Black shoes
