Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service Speaking Competition
Congratulations to S2 pupils, Callum Friel and Jay Taylor for entering and winning the Renfrewshire heat of the Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service Speaking Competition. This competition is open to all S2 and S3 pupils in Scotland and challenges them to speak about a variety of topics in front of an audience and judges. Callum and Jay prepared and delivered speeches on the topic: ‘Social media is the enemy of equality’. In their feedback they were praised for the high standard of their presentations and the confidence with which they spoke.
The boys will now progress to the North Strathclyde Sheriffdom Semi-final, competing against the winning teams from the Inverclyde Heat and the winning team from the West Dumbartonshire Heat. This will be held at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday 16th March. We wish them the best of luck!
