Wall of Poppies for Remembrance Day Celebrations

At Park Mains High School this year, we would like to include people within the Erskine, Bishopton, Langbank and Inchinnan communities in our whole school Remembrance Service this November. Staff and pupils are creating a Wall of poppies within our Assembly Hall and we would like to encourage as many people as possible to become involved in making and creating poppies to fill up the wall.

Our new S1 pupils will be working with staff in Expressive Arts making poppies to display in the assembly hall and we thought it would be fantastic if people within the community were to contribute as well to make a whole wall of poppies. We are looking for parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles and people residing within our communities to get involved to support our pupils to fill up the whole wall.

Who is this for?

Anyone in the community who would like to support our pupils.

What do you need to do?

Make as many or as few poppies as you like and bring them into the school to be included on the wall. We have included some sites with knitting ideas and craft suggestions but you can make it any way you like.

When is this for?

Our service is on the 9th November so ideally by the 8th so we can display everything properly.
