Remembrance Day Service

This morning at morning break, staff and pupils held a Remembrance Service to honour and remember those who lost their life during the conflicts. A special time to respectfully commemorate the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. Our S6 Leadership Team along with Mr Wilson and Miss Maynes, planned and organised the event, with Mr McGroarty, Faculty Head of Technology providing a reading. Our Assembly Hall was full of staff and pupils who attended to mark the anniversary of Armistice Day.

Over the past few weeks our S1 art pupils, S2 ICT pupils have been working with staff to create a Wall of Poppies along with three of our S6 girls, Lauren Mabbett, Beth Connolly and Debbie Russell have been working with some of our junior pupils at lunchtimes to knit, crochet and create poppies to place on the wall. There has also been a fabulous contribution from the Craft Group at Erskine Baptist Church, Barsail Primary Craft Club, 1st Inchinnan Brownies, 3rd Erskine Brownies and staff and pupils at Inchinnan Community Nursery who have all created poppies for our wall, which can be seen in out photographs below. We were delighted to welcome to our service this morning, some representatives from these groups.

Thank you to all our staff and pupils along with our partners in the community who have helped to create the Wall of Poppies in our Assembly Hall on this special year of Remembrance.
