Recruitment Event – 6th April

If you are looking for a job, we have two recruitment events for you.

Renfrewshire Council are hiring people to work in schools and nurseries and care at home teams.

Home Care and Community Alarm jobs recruitment event

-Park Mains High School, Barrhill Road, Erskine PA8 6EY

-Wednesday 6 April

-Session one: 10am to 12midday

-Session two: 2pm to 4pm

School and nursery cleaning, catering and maintenance jobs (Soft Facilities Management) recruitment event

-Paisley Grammar School, Glasgow Road, Paisley PA1 3RP

-Tuesday 12 April

-Session one: 10am to 12midday

-Session two: 2pm to 4pm

Recruiting for various shift patterns in the following roles:

-Home Care Workers (support people with day-to-day tasks they may struggle with, including personal care, such as washing and dressing, medication, and meals)

-Community Alarm Responders (respond to emergency community alarm calls, assist setting up alarm equipment, and provide a range of support tasks, including personal care)

Recruiting for back and evening shift in the following roles:

-Facilities Operatives (working in our schools and nurseries covering various duties such as cleaning, catering and maintenance (compliance))

-Caretakers (working within community buildings)

-Housekeepers (working within our care and extra care facilities)

-Cleaners (working in various council buildings and premises)

Recruiting for spilt shift (AM/PM) for the following role:

-School Crossing Patrollers (help children cross the road safely, various locations across Renfrewshire)

Applying for a job

You can fill out an application form at our recruitment event. Successful applicants will be offered an immediate interview and can complete their recruitment checks at the event.

Alternatively, apply for a job on MyJobScotland. Successful applicants will be invited to an interview at the recruitment event.

Evidence to bring with you

If you want to apply for any of these roles at our recruitment event you must bring the following proofs of identification:

-proof of current address – a utility bill or bank statement (must be dates within the last 3 months)

-National Insurance Number

-passport or driving licence and birth certificate

If you don’t have photographic identification, please bring two different proof of address documents dated within the last three months.

You also need to bring the names, email addresses and telephones numbers of two work related references. Your first reference should be your current or most recent employer. The second should be from another employer within the last three years.

If you only have one employer, then your current line manager and one character reference will be accepted. If you have no formal employers, two character references (e.g. a former lecturer, teacher, friend or neighbour) will be accepted.
