Quiz Time – Salvation Army in Erskine

Quiz Time at the Salvation Army

A group of S5 pupils wanted to go into the community to do something different. They organised a quiz at the local Salvation Army hall as well as entertained the ladies with Bethany signing some favourite songs. The ladies at the Salvation Army really enjoyed the quiz and were delighted that pupils from Park Mains High School wanted to come and do something for them. This builds strong community links for our pupils and gives people in our community an opportunity to build strong relationships with our young citizens.

Well done to all the pupils who have been involved in organising this very successful event.

S3 Pupils _ Paisley 2021 UWS

A massive congratulations goes to the Park Mains pupils who attended the University of the West of Scotland’s Higher Expectation event on Thursday 16th February. Ten S3 pupils had the opportunity to experience University life as they worked in small groups on an interesting project. Pupils were to come up with an idea for the Paisley 2021 bid, for city of culture, and present it to expert judges. Not only did one of our groups reach the top five finalists with “Strongest Commercial Project”, they won the overall competition! They were awarded “Strongest Commercial Project” after presenting their idea to the eighteen other groups and judges. Well done to Kyle Burns, Callum Munro, Elise Roxburgh, Maya Little and Hannah Stirling for their winning idea!
